EKM SEO: Your Questions Answered About Our AI Ecommerce SEO Tool

EKM SEO Webinar Questions & Answers

On 17th February, we hosted a live demo of our new tool, EKM SEO, for EKM customers.

The session covered how the platform works, how it automates key SEO tasks, and how it helps smaller online retailers compete more effectively. But as always, the most valuable part of the session was the questions.

Below is a recap of the most important ones, along with expanded answers to give you a clearer picture of what EKM SEO can really do.

“Is this a monthly service, or am I tied into a contract?”

This was one of the first questions asked.

EKM SEO runs as a monthly subscription. You can also choose an annual plan for a discounted rate, but there’s no long-term lock-in required. There’s also a 14-day money-back guarantee, so you can try it with confidence.

The goal is flexibility. SEO should feel like a growth lever, not a risk.

“How long does SEO take to work?”

This is always the big one.

The honest answer is that it depends on competition, keyword difficulty, and your current site authority.

For more niche, long-tail keywords, businesses often begin to see movement within three to six months. For more competitive terms, especially if you’re competing with major marketplaces, it can take six to twelve months.

What EKM SEO does is ensure consistent, structured progress. It spreads updates across the month, avoids sudden large-scale changes, and follows the kind of plan an agency would typically implement manually.

SEO is not instant. But it compounds.

“Will it optimise my product pages?”

Yes.

EKM SEO works through your website each month and optimises a set number of pages. That includes:

  • Product pages
  • Category pages
  • Informational pages

It updates page titles, meta descriptions, and on-page content where needed. If your product pages are a priority, they can be prioritised within the platform.

This is about steady improvement, not random edits.

“What about blogging?”

Blog content is a key part of the strategy.

By default, EKM SEO plans and writes one blog post per month. These are not generic posts. They are built around:

  • The keywords selected during onboarding
  • Real customer search questions
  • Internal linking opportunities
  • AI visibility best practice

You can increase blog frequency if required, though we generally recommend keeping content structured and manageable.

One important note: image creation for blog posts is not yet automated, but this is already on the roadmap.

“If page titles change, will my URLs change too?”

No.

This is important.

EKM SEO updates page titles and content without changing your URL structure. That avoids unnecessary redirects and protects your existing rankings.

SEO improvements should strengthen your foundation, not disrupt it.

“If I add new products, will the strategy update?”

Yes.

You can add new products or services at any time, and the keyword strategy can be expanded to support them. The platform allows up to 300 tracked keywords by default, and there is a structured strategy review after six months.

Your SEO campaign is not static. It evolves with your business.

“Does AI actually make it easier for small retailers to compete?”

This was one of the strongest questions of the session.

The short answer is yes.

Large companies typically win because they have more output. More content. More optimisation. More technical work happening consistently.

AI changes that.

EKM SEO was built to help level the playing field. It allows smaller retailers to:

  • Optimise more keywords
  • Produce structured content regularly
  • Capture niche search phrases
  • Improve internal linking
  • Increase visibility in both Google and AI-driven search

You may not outrank Amazon overnight. But you can build authority across hundreds of relevant, high-intent searches.

And that is where sustainable growth happens.

“Does it track AI traffic?”

Yes.

When connected to Google Analytics, EKM SEO can report traffic coming from platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini.

AI traffic is still smaller than Google traffic overall, but visibility matters. AI search is growing, and your brand appearing in those responses is becoming increasingly important.

EKM SEO is built with that future in mind.

The Bigger Picture

The consistent theme throughout the webinar was this:

SEO works best when it is structured, ongoing, and aligned with your actual business.

EKM SEO combines:

  • Strategy
  • Automation
  • Context
  • Human approval
  • Monthly performance reporting

It follows the framework an agency would use, but makes it accessible inside your EKM platform.

You stay in control. The heavy lifting is handled for you.
