The client:
PoleVolt specialise in small electrical components for the automotive industry, selling parts all over the world to garages, rally car builders, farms and even formula one teams.
Founded in 2008, PoleVolt was one of the first businesses in the industry to move online, however as a result this left their website out of date and lacking key information. After a change in ownership in 2017 when Mark Talbot took over the business from his father, he re-did the website on the Sellerdeck platform, but didn’t quite have the information needed to create much difference.
Finally, in 2024, he decided a change was needed and began the process to migrate from the legacy Sellerdeck platform to fellow ClearCourse brand EKM.
The project:
PoleVolt required a more up to date customer-facing website in order to stay ahead of the competition, but they also needed improvements behind the scenes too. They wanted to update the way products were listed, easily have the ability to amend stock availability and pivotally have an easy-to-use platform that wasn’t going to result in hours of wasted time making updates.
EKM provided this. The migration process was completed quickly and easily, described by business owner Mark Talbot as “the most painless swap over ever”.
